This is a Maidmer... or possibly a Legfish... an interesting combination, not as pretty as your traditional Mermaid, but better suited to stockings and high-heels, which can have its advantages.

The surrealist Magritte painted a 'Maidmer', though so far as I know he wasn't interested in the Mermaids' reaction to the Maidmers, and his Maidmer wore no stockings of course...
